Mrs. Brenda Ann Conley, age 74 of Nahant died peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Jesmond Nursing Home in Nahant and was surrounded by family. She is the wife of Mr. Michael Conley with whom she shared fifty-one loving years of marriage. She was born and raised in Salem, MA, by her parents, the late Leonard and Stacia Vogler. Brenda is survived by her daughter, Oona Conley of Lynn and her children, Shon, Tiffany, Renee, Troy and Tony as well as her son, Peter Conley and wife his wife, Amy of Nahant and their children, Cadence, Nola and Vera. Brenda also leaves her siblings, Joan Dombrowski and her husband, Ned of Ocala, FL, her brother Charles Vogler and his wife, Helen of Danvers, and her late brother Leonard Vogler. She also leaves several great grandchildren, nieces and nephew. Brenda graduated from Salem High School and spent the majority of the past 45 years living in Nahant with her family.
Brenda worked as an administrative assistant in a dental office for several years, but her greatest job was being a wife, mother and beloved "Mina" grandmother. She enjoyed hiking, skiing and sailing with her husband and children in her earlier years. Later in life found her calling in arts and crafts such as quilting, knitting, sewing, felting, exquisite jewelry making with Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones and sea glass from the beaches of Nahant. Brenda also had a green thumb and was an amazing gardener. Brenda loved to travel and visited Florida, Bermuda, Europe and Mexico.
A memorial service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 6:30 PM. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 6:30 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Directions and guestbook at www.cuffemcginn.com
