Boris S. Levchenko, 71, of Revere, passed away at home on Monday, January 9, 2017. Born In Samara, Russia, he was the son of Sergey M. and Lidiya A. (Kabanova) Levchenko. He was the beloved husband of Tatyana (Ikonnikova) Levchenko with whom he had been married for 47 years; the loving father of Sergey Levchenko, and his wife, Margarita and Paul Levchenko and his wife, Natalya, all of Moscow; the cherished grandfather of Maxim, Julia and Anna; the brother of the late Mikhail Levchenko and the cousin of Natalya Berdnikova of Australia.
Boris held degrees from Moscow University in History and Oriental Languages. He also earned a language degree from the University of Delhi. He earned his PhD in History and Political Science from the Academy of Political Science in Moscow. He was fluent in at least 5 languages. Boris was a Russian television journalist / correspondent in India for a number of years. He moved to the U.S. in 1999 and worked as a Research Grant / Administration Manager at Northeastern University in Boston. Boris enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as fixing anything mechanical. He especially enjoyed working on grandfather clocks.
