Born in Melrose on December 5, 1976, he was the son of Donald and Allison (Bullerwell) Deveau of Lynn and was the biological son of the late Charles Jewell. He graduated from Lynn Tech, Class of 1995, and immediately enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps. A Corporal, he served for four years, and was a member of the Military Police, stationed in Okinawa and several posts around the globe.
He then worked as a plumber’s assistant and as a carpenter.
He also leaves his former wife Suzumi Fujii and their children Benjamin Fujii and Sabrina Fujii all of Japan, and several siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition, he leaves his faithful friend and service dog Terren.
