Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Clayton S. and Ruth B. (Kevill) Cook. Left behind to cherish Arleen’s memory are her son, Clinton Lurvey, and his wife, Michelle of Derry, NH; daughter, Lisa Marie Holte of New Jersey; granddaughters, Ariana Lurvey and her partner, Nicholas Quartarone of Beverly and Autumn Lurvey and her partner, Stephen Brooks of Rochester, NH; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Jr. and Luca Quartarone; sisters, Deborah Raftery and her partner, Lee Oliver, Donna Burgess and her husband, the late John Burgess, and Diane Nordyke and her husband, the late David Nordyke, all of Lynn; a brother, Michael Cook and his wife, Mary Beth of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara “Cookie” Cormier, Carol Burch, Colleen Adamo and Kathleen Pascoe. Arleen also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Sugar and Lily.
Arleen attended Lynn English High School and worked as a customer service representative at GLSS for many years. She was an avid reader, a movie and TV buff and enjoyed gardening. Most of all, Arleen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Arleen’s funeral will be held on Friday, June 1st, from the CUFFE-McGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Pius V Church, Lynn. Burial of her ashes will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home before the Mass.
