Aileen grew up in St. Patrick’s Parish West Lynn, graduating from Lynn Classical High School and Burdett College before working at GE Riverworks. Two years later she met the love of her life; C. Arthur Wall, the couple married and raised their children in Lynn.
Aileen’s family emigrated from County Cork Ireland. She was the daughter of the late Patrick (PJ) Rice and Catherine (Kate) (O’Brien) Rice and predeceased her husband Arthur Wall, a sister Margaret Lyons and two brothers Thomas Rice and John Rice.
Aileen raised two children Garrett (Gary) Wall and Maura Recko. She leaves four grandchildren Matthew & Ryan Wall and Colin & Conor Recko, a daughter-in-law Mary (Kirby) Wall and a son-in-law Paul Recko, a niece Patricia Lothrop and a nephew Larry Rice.
Aileen and her husband owned and operated the Garrett J. Wall Funeral home, originally built to service the culture, customs and traditions associated with the large Irish immigration population in Lynn. She and her husband Arthur retired to Florida until he passed. Aileen then returned to live again in the city she loved; Lynn.
Aileen was extremely active with Our Lady of Assumption sodality, St. Mary’s School & Parish and St. John’s Prep. Her heart and love was always with her family. She was a woman of great faith and grace. She is now joined again with her devoted husband and family in heaven.
