Zachary Jaxon Doyle, 8, born May 15, 2015, passed from life on earth to Life in eternity with Jesus on December 10,2023. He passed in his home, surrounded by his family. Zachary left behind his green wheelchair, gait trainer, and leg braces and now walks confidently in his new body, healed and whole, with his Savior.
Zachary is survived by his loving parents, Ben and Susan Doyle of Goode, VA, alongside his heroic siblings, Madison and Ethan, who shared an unbreakable bond with him. He is fondly remembered by his paternal grandparents, Michael and Janet Doyle, and his maternal grandparents, Michael and Connie Fox, who provided unwavering love and support. Zachary leaves behind cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins, including, Paul and Stacey Seibert, and their children Matthew, Anna, Andrew, and John, Elliott and Mireille Fox, along with their son Gabriel, David Doyle and Anna Blake, Mark and Sarah Doyle, along with their children Kelsey and Aidan. His memory is also cherished by great-grandparents Agatha Doyle and Randolph Meek, who held a special place in his heart.
Despite his young age, Zachary enjoyed numerous professional responsibilities. He was Assistant Mayor at Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, FL. Give Kids the World partners with wish-granting organizations to gift children with life threatening diseases and their families, a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Additionally, Zachary served as Honorary Dispatcher for the Virginia State Police Division 6 Headquarters, where he trained faithfully to become a dispatcher. Zachary was CEO for a day with Tractor Beverage and enjoyed participating in Teams meetings in his multiple jobs. His most meaningful endeavor was Bro And Co, a lemonade business with his older brother and sister. Zachary preferred his lemonade to be “on the house” and considered each customer a win. Zachary could often be found cheering his Liberty University Flames, his number one team and was most loyal to the beloved mascot Sparky.
In his own special way, Zachary loved the Lord dearly. He enjoyed listening to worship music and raising his hands toward Heaven. Zachary’s favorite Scripture and the family’s prayer through mourning: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and bring you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
As a result of numerous hospitalizations, Zachary fell in love with multiple therapy dog organizations. He garnered a reputation for being the most-visited patient as a result of his intense love for dogs. These visits brought Zachary immense joy. The Doyle Family wishes to thank the Soothing Paws program at Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Buddy Brigade at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, and Dogs on Call at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond.
The Doyle Family would also like to thank Zachary’s neurosurgeon, Dr. John Collins, for his faithful dedication to Zachary and his well-being. Additionally, a special thanks to Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their service to Zachary and the family. In deep appreciation, the Doyle family acknowledges the army of friends who have encouraged their family throughout Zachary’s short life.
A service celebrating Zachary's beautiful life and unwavering faith will be held at Thomas Roads Baptist Church in Lynchburg at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023 with Dr. Grant Ethridge. Honors will also be provided by the Virginia State Police Honor Guard.
Zachary's absence will be deeply felt, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him. May his spirit continue to inspire and uplift those who carry his memory forward.
