Growing up, Tommy and his siblings grew up on Cotton Hill, and even though they did not have much growing up, they did have each other. Early in his life he retired from the Conrail Railroad, but his true gift and passion was in general construction. For over 40 years, Tommy and his wife worked as a duo team renovating homes, buildings, and modular homes. Together, they could fix any house project - He was always the first one to lend a hand to help family in a moment's need. He also really enjoyed working with wood both professionally and as a hobby, building and carving custom boxes for family and friends. Even building a custom cremation memorial wood box for his granddaughter. He enjoyed travel and spent as much time as possible living his RV life with travels up and down the east coast, spending lot of time with friends and family, especially in the Florida Keys. He loved coaching both of his daughters in softball when they were younger and watching his grandson Caleb progress through his baseball playing career. Even going as far a creating a custom, “Travel Ball Express” Camper for all of the weekend games. He was very proud of his native heritage and loved learning and sharing his knowledge in different areas. It’s too many to list all the lives that he impacted in his time on Earth, there was no one that went without in his presence.
Family will be receiving guests at their home to celebrate his life on Sunday, November 5th from12pm-6pm at 186 Plateau Drive, Evington, Va
