She was born in Lynchburg on December 5, 1962, daughter of Joyce W. Cheatham and the late Gene Pugh. Her stepfather, John Thomas Cheatham, who raised her, preceded her in death.
Susan loved her time with the kids while handling childcare at Memorial Christian Church as well as her time meeting her friends at American Legion Post #16.
In addition to her mother, Joyce, she is survived by 3 brothers, Tim Wooldridge, Sam Wooldridge (Margaret) and Michael Wooldridge; aunts, Lillie Mathews, Julia Moore, and Nancy Davis; an uncle, Edward Wooldridge, an aunt Lillie Wade and an uncle, Jessie Pugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 – 2 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
