Samuel Lee Aughey

Samuel Lee Aughey, 74, of Evington, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Sally Lewis Aughey. Born May 2, 1948 in Mifflintown, PA, he was the son of the late Harry Lee Aughey and Betty Hartsock Aughey Houtz. Mr. Aughey was a retired supervisor with General Electric / Ericsson and ITT Night Vision. In addition to his wife, Mr. Aughey is survived by three children, Michael Lee Aughey and wife Michelle of York, PA, Keith Samuel Aughey and wife Judy of Amherst, and Elizabeth Aughey Wilson and fiance, Darren Stutzman of Lynch Station; three step children, Sonny Ashby (Elizabeth) and Samantha Keesee Jennings and husband Jeff, all of Evington, and Curtis Keesee, III (Tiffany) of Hurt; a sister, Jane Aughey Wagner of Mifflintown, PA; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
