Sadie Staton Wilson Custer, 87, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ned L. Wilson.
Born November 1, 1925 in Lynchburg she was a daughter of the late Abner G. Staton and Hattie Brown Staton.
Sadie is survived by her son, Herbert Wilson; daughter, Barbara W. Dudley and husband, James E.; brothers, Page, Roy and Ed Staton; sisters, Mattie Mays, Maggie Tyree, Rosa Wilson, Ruby Johnson; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Fort Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Jim Whitaker.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel
