Ruth Wooldridge Baber, 83, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Filmore James Baber.
Born in Campbell County, January 19, 1930 she was a daughter of the late Fitzhugh L. Wooldridge and Bertha Rachael Hart Wooldridge. She was retired from K-Mart after 40 years of service.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Kent Baber.
Survivors include one son, Gary Wayne Baber; one sister, Irene W. Taylor; one granddaughter, Tammy Baber Wilson and three grandchildren, Alysa Baber, Biore’ Hood and Jada Hood all of Lynchburg; two sisters in law, Rachael Wooldridge and Shirley Wooldridge and one niece, Brenda Driggers.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 at Fort Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Curtis Walkup.
