Reginald Allen Gray

Born August 1, 1934 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Russell Allen Gray, Sr. and Ruth Garrison Gray. Mr. Gray was retired from Rock-Tenn and was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and was a Deacon.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Gail Grosvenor and husband Wallace of Forest; his son, Mark Gray and wife Leah of Appomattox; a sister, Barbara Truxell of Madison Heights; a brother, William Gray of Forest; three grandchildren, Ashley G. Chieppa and husband Matt, Madison Gray, and Sydney Gray and a great-grandson, Hudson Chieppa.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Grooms and the Rev. Larry Witt officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the residence.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Kevin Patel, the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, the Infusion Center at Virginia Baptist Hospital, the Oncology Floor at Lynchburg General Hospital, and Centra Hospice for the wonderful care provided for Mr. Gray.
