IN THE CARE OF
Whitten Timberlake Chapel
Pamela Rae Simpson, 56, of Lynchburg departed this life on September 11, 2023 into the arms of Jesus, her savior, with a smile on her face. Finally free from her pain.
Born April 18, 1967 Pam was a loving wife, mother and friend. She always cared about the needs of others even before those of herself. She was quick to offer a helping hand or a listening ear. She loved her sons deeply, always pushing them to do well and do “all the things” that needed to be done. She was an amazing multitasker, she could work in five courthouses, write up ten orders, tell Brandon to take a shower all while fixing French fries for Nick as she’s on the phone with her mother or sister… all the while ordering something on Amazon for Curtis, she truly was amazing! Pam loved shopping - she always had a coupon - coffee and shoes. Her faith became sealed in the last month of her life. She would often be found praying aloud for herself and for her family. Pam longs for all of her family and friends to also make a decision for Christ so she can see you all again.
Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Donald Eagleson Sr.
Left to cherish Pam’s memory is her loving husband of 31 years, best friend and confidant Curtis Allen Simpson; her sons, Brandon Lee Simpson and Nicholas Allen Simpson; her mother, Patricia Waters Shelters; her siblings Lisa Eagleson Lawe and her husband Craig and Donald Eagleson Jr., and her nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Pam’s life and faith will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
