Nicholas Niko Raymond Jones

Niko was born in Naperville, Illinois, November 19, 1993. He was a rising senior at Liberty Christian Academy and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. Niko was involved in sports for many years while in school and loved music and movies. He was an excellent student and had ambitions to become a medical doctor.

He is survived by his father, Ray Jones and brother Raymond Jones both of Lynchburg; his paternal grandparents, Ray and Shirley Jones of Arcola, Ill.; his maternal grandmother, Sandra Mark of New Lenox, Ill.; two uncles, Jason Jones and his wife Holly of Rockford, MI. and David Jones and his wife Melissa of Champaign, Ill.; three aunts, Louanne Giorgio and her husband Anthony of Plainfield, Ill., Carrie Mark of New Lenox, Ill. and Rebecca Mark of Texas; Niko is also survived by his best friend Anand Thottam with whom he grew up and by many loving family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 9:00 p.m.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Niko’s honor to the Liberty Christian Academy Athletic Department, 100 Mountain View Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24502.
