Michael George Hacker

Michael George Hacker - 68, of Goode, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6th 2022 at his residence.
Born on December 12, 1953 in Sleepy Eye, MN. He was the son of the late George F. Hacker, Jr. and Helen M. Hacker. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother Daniel Hacker and nephew Thomas Hacker.
Mike was a loving husband and wonderful father to three sons and one granddaughter. He enjoyed woodworking, watching movies and had a great sense of humor that brought smiles to peoples faces. He was kind, caring, intelligent and witty, always the teacher, he encouraged others around him to find answers to problems and challenge themselves. He had a creative and technical mind that allowed him to tackle any challenge almost effortlessly. Mike was always had a project but was happy to help others when the need arose.
He was a retired NDE Specialist with Framatome, was well known and respected among his colleagues. He held several patents within his company.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol D. Hacker; three sons Kris Hacker, Todd Hacker (Katie) and Ryan Hacker; granddaughter, Abigail Hacker and his siblings, Judy Harding (Guy), Gerry Hacker (Rhonda), Nancy Peterson (Rick), Tim Hacker (Laurie), Peg Brieholtz (Scott), Kevin Hacker (Tammy), Brian Hacker (Patty), Sue Theobald (Mark), Paul Hacker, Scott Hacker (Dana), and Chris Hacker (Chantel) and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, November 14th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel officiated by Rev. Tim Wilde. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
