Born in Fort Meade, Maryland, September 11, 1953, he was the son of the late Roger Raymond Cole and Carol Roberts Cole.
Michael was retired from Brenco where he was a machine operator. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan, never missing an opportunity to support his teams. Michael was also a music enthusiast with a special fondness to classic rock and roll and the oldies. His heart beat to the rhythm of old-school melodies. Michael’s Christian faith played a central role in his life. His love for God was evident in his dedication to reading his Bible and his desire to serve others. Michael lived his life passionately, marked by music, family, faith, Cleveland sports and cherished moments. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Michael is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cindy Harris Cole; his son, Brandon Michael Cole and his wife Meghan; his daughter, Shannon Leigh Cole and her Fiancé, Jesse Gardner and his daughters, Genevieve Gardner and Ashlynn Gardner; two grandchildren, Seiler Maeve Cole and Cooper Harris Cole; three sisters, Lisa Lacy and husband Jimmy, Leslie Burns and husband Jimmy, Laura Gadsby and husband Ron; his brother-in-law, Roy Garland Harris and wife Deborah; his sister-in-law, Patricia Diane Ferguson and husband Jeff and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Andrew Smith officiating.
