Mary Ann Lowry

Born May 6, 1933 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Milton and Christine Reed White. Mrs. Lowry was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her three children, Carolyn A. Johns and husband Roger of Lynchburg, David W. Lowry and wife Nora of Lynchburg, Diane M. Turman and husband Charles of Boones Mill; brother, Herbert M. White of Bedford; sister Alice Belle McDonald and husband Don of Philippi, W.VA; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many more family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 4 :00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel conducted by Pastor Dennis S. Roberts.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.

The family request memorial contributions be made to Lynchburg Humane Society, 3305 Naval Reserve Road Lynchburg, Va 24501 or Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue, 1725 Edwardsville Road Hardy, Va 24101.

Like her frogs that she loved so much, she has taken the final leap into heaven.
