Margie Leagolden Nash, 75, of Madison Heights, died, Monday, April 1, 2013, at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She was the wife of the late James Belvy Nash. Born November 5, 1937, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Turner Campbell and the late Ruby Leagolden Slough Campbell.
Margie was a homemaker and a member of Jordan Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margie was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Carroll Lee Campbell, H.T. Campbell, Jr., Clarence Campbell, Ruby Campbell Tomlin, Louise Campbell Myers, Elmo Campbell, Bobby Ray Campbell and George Arthur Campbell.
Margie is survived by her children, James Lee Nash of Washington, D.C., Jonathan W. Nash, Sr. of Evington, Kathy Oakley and her husband Michael of Forest and Scott Nash and his wife Carol of Madison Heights; one sister, Gaile Campbell Williams and her husband Rev. George E. Williams of Morganton, NC, Dr. Melvin H. Campbell and his wife Shelby of Lynchburg and George Murrell Campbell and his wife Alice of Evington; six grandchildren, Scarlett Oakley, Brandon Oakley, Jonathan Wayne Nash, Jr., James Victor Lee Nash, Tiffany Nicole Nash and Daphne Rose Nash; sister-in-law, Rachel Nash Tomlin; numerous nieces and nephews, including Little Junior Campbell and James Campbell; and many more predeceased and surviving family members.
A funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, at Jordan Baptist Church with Dr. Melvin H. Campbell and Rev. George Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Meade Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Jordan Baptist Church.
