Lucie Anne Chenault
October 2, 1943 – October 7, 2023
IN THE CARE OF
Whitten Timberlake Chapel
Lucie Anne Chenault, on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Bon Secours Hospice House, went to be with God when He took her to her heavenly home for eternity.
God took her to heaven because she realized she couldn’t go to that perfect place unless she turned from her sins and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She would love each of her friends to accept Him as their Lord and Savior also, so you can join her in heaven one day.
In heaven, she was welcomed by her parents, Robert T. Chenault and Lucie Candler Chenault as well as her grandparents and other born again family and friends.
She was born at home in Concord, VA on Saturday, October 2, 1943. She graduated from EC Glass High School in 1962. Lucie worked for Dr. P.W. Handy, had an infant and pre-school daycare for over 20 years and worked for Dr. John F. Laneve for 31 years. She had also worked as a caregiver for the Venable family of Rustburg, VA.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa L. Wood of Lynchburg and a son, Chris Moore (Sarah) of Chesterfield, VA; five grandchildren, Bobby Wood (Lydia), Mary Beth Grim (Jon), Amanda Polk (Tyler), Melissa Bass (Spencer), and Melody Moore; two precious great-grandchildren, Zachary and Amelia Polk; a sister, Blanche C. Watts and one cousin, Bill Gillikin (Linda).
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 16, 2023. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Due to allergies, the family requests no food or flowers. Memorials may be made to support Gideons International, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251 or gideons.org.
