Linda Carpenter Tomlinson

Born September 16, 1945 Linda was well known for her love of her family and those around her. She was someone who placed their needs above her own and took care of those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion for those she loved.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Smiley Thomas Tomlinson, Jr.

Those left to celebrate Linda’s life include her children Eric C. Tomlinson and his wife Sarah of Forest, Edward C. Tomlinson and his wife Beth of Morgantown, WV; her grandchildren Savannah Tomlinson, Haley Tomlinson, Ethan Tomlinson, Aaron Tomlinson, Nathan Tomlinson; and her sisters Nancy C. Barnard and her husband James of Raleigh, NC, and Susan C. Hamner and her husband Kevin of Cleveland, TN.

We would also like to thank the wonderful staff at the Bedford County Nursing Home for all of their loving care of our mother over the last couple of years.

A celebration of life service for Linda will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00am at Forest Alliance Church with Pastor Josef Shalev officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
