Born April 15, 1944 in Lynchburg, Diane was the daughter of the late William Henry Davidson and Edith Dudley Coffey. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeff Carr; a brother, William “Butch” Davidson, and her grandparents, who raised her, Dick and Carrie Dudley. She spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Diane is survived by three sons, Kent E. Carr and wife Sandra of Rustburg, Mark W. Carr (Tracy) of Forest, and Troy Lee Carr (Fancy) of Lynchburg; a sister, Becky Biggs of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Kari (Sean), Cody (Haley), Logan, Kasey (Alex), and Tyler and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Ryleigh, Reagan, and Aubrey. Diane is also survived by Kasey’s Mother, Sherry Catron.
A funeral service to celebrate Diane’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with The Rev. Andy Dahlby officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
