Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on May 8, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Richard Brooks and Mary Litchford Brooks. Linda retired from the City of Lynchburg Public Schools, where she served as a teacher’s aide, and was a devoted member of Tree of Life Ministries.
Linda had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying camping and kayaking. Her greatest passion, however, was her family, and she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Larry Boothe III (Ronda), Billy Boothe, Tonya Palmer (Shaun), and Billy Crowe; five grandchildren, L.W. Boothe IV, Logan Boothe, Tyler Novak, Hailee Crowe, and Mady Palmer; one great-grandchild, Ruby Novak; her sister, Scarlett Davis (Tom); and her brother-in-law, Lewis McDearmon. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl McDearmon.
A service celebrating Linda's life and faith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Tree of Life Ministries, with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Pearson Cancer Center for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
