Born January 17, 1926 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John Lee and the late Jimmie Spencer Foster and was also preceded in death by five brothers, John Lee, Jr., Edward, James Camp, Thurman Randolph, and John Earl and three sisters, Katherine Foster, Dorothy Hamlet, and Virginia Farmer. Lillian was active in the Mountain View Baptist Church, as well as Thomas Road Baptist Church. She was an avid Bowler and is listed in the Lynchburg Bowlers Hall of Fame.
Lillian is survived by three sons, Donald Wilson Bobbitt and wife Helen of Ruskin, FL, Darrell Stephen Bobbitt and wife Virginia of Lynchburg, and David Bryan Bobbitt, also of Lynchburg; one daughter, Starlett B. Evans and husband Wayne of Forest; seven grandchildren, Donald Wilson Bobbitt, Jr., Denise Renee Wooldridge, Dawn Bobbitt Chaos, Darrell Stephen Bobbitt, Jr., Ryan Hunter Bobbitt, Ashley Cordle, Kerry Wayne Evans, Krista Star Bryant, and David Nathan Bobbitt and twelve great-grandchildren, Andrew Wooldridge, Jordan Bobbitt, Lauren Chaos, Caleb Chaos, Kynadi Joyce, Colton Bobbitt, Parker Davidson, Kylie Bobbitt, Sierra Bryant, Sidney Bryant, Owen Evans, and Natalie Bobbitt.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Kirk Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 8, 2013 at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, Star.
