Leonard Washington Witt, Jr., 75, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Liberty Ridge Heath and Rehabilitation Center. Born February 24, 1939, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Leonard Washington Witt, Sr. and the late Martha Ann Hardin Witt.
Leonard was a former carpenter for LG Flint Company and he was of the Presbyterian faith.
Leonard is survived by his children, Lisa Charlton and her husband John of Lynchburg and Kenneth Leonard Witt and his wife Rebecca of Forest; five grandchildren, Nick Charlton, Alex Charlton, Crystal Witt, Kristen Witt and Kenny Witt; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Brian Taylor officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the needs of the family.
