Born in Campbell county, April 11, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Calvin Falwell and Nellie Marshall Falwell Ashworth.
She was retired from Progress Printing and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband James Garnett Simpson and her second husband, Johnny Grant Taylor. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmie G. Simpson. Survivors include one son, Jeffrey K. Simpson and his wife Sherilyn; five grandsons, Justin K. Simpson, Kevin Simpson, Jimmie G. Simpson, Nathan Simpson and Ryan Simpson all of Lynchburg and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
