Born February 21, 1943 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Daniel George and Callie Belle Wade Tyree. She retired from Morton Manufacturing Co.
Joyce is survived by her children, Wanda T. (Wendell) Breedlove, Kathy T. (Dorsey) Cherry, Lisa T. (Richard) Huff, Kenneth D. (Sherri) Tolley; brother, Richard “Denny” Tyree; sisters, Betty T. Cowan, Kathleen T. (Ellis) Gibson; 9 grandchildren,; and 9 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel conducted by the Rev. Debrah Zuercher. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends tonight, Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
at the funeral home.
