She was born in Madison Heights on September 23, 1940, daughter of the late John P. Rhodes and Nettie Phelps Rhodes.
Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, William Coffer, Sr.; one brother, John P. Rhodes, Jr.; and two grandchildren, Joseph P. Bailey and Eric L. Bailey.
She enjoyed watching soap operas, game shows, and listening to music. She sang the National Anthem every morning. Joanne loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all her heart.
She is survived by three daughters, Cindy Bailey and husband Ralph, Carolyn Coffer, Wanda C. Isaacs and husband Kenny; three sons, William Coffer, Jr., Ronald Coffer, Donald E. Coffer; one sister, Gloria J. Perry; four grandchildren, Rachel Coffer and fiancé Jacob Goff, Michelle L. Isaacs, Jessica D. Isaacs and fiancé Charlie Padgett, Mark Coffer; two great grandchildren, Bethany Mays and Jacob Jerina.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coffer Family Cemetery.
