Jerry Francis Lyons

Jerry Francis Lyons, 82, of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at his residence. He was the husband of Alice Martin Lyons. Born May 6, 1934, in Monroe, he was the son of the late William Henry Lyons and the late Beulah Melinda Saunders Lyons.

Jerry was a retired employee of Limitorque Corporation and a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe. He also served our country in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his son William Michael Lyons and his wife Tina of Lynchburg and his grandson William Auguste Lyons also of Lynchburg.

A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. David Heerspink officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military Honors will be presented by the American Legion Post 16.
