Hazel Duck Ferrell

Born on April 3, 1918 in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Duck.

Hazel was a retired nurse’s aide for Central Virginia Training Center. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by five siblings, John Duck, Anderson Duck, Edna D. Blunt, Elizabeth D. Viar, and Louise D. Hodges.

Hazel is survived by her children, Wayne Ferrell and wife Betty of Rustburg, Larry Ferrell and wife Marlin of Jasper, GA, Carolyn F. Bosiger and husband E.P. of Forest, Rebecca F. Coates and husband Melvin of Concord, and Sue F. Francis and husband Butch of Randolph; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Phil Showers officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
