H. Wayne Beeler, 77, of Forest went to be with his Lord, Thursday, May 18, 2023 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rachel Bowyer Beeler.
Wayne was born on August 17, 1945, a son of the late John Henry Beeler and Alice Stern Beeler.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donna Beeler Hensley and her husband Chris and Michael Wayne Beeler; and four grandchildren, Ryan Beeler, Jacob Hensley, Beth Ann Hensley and Allison Hensley.
Wayne took immense pride in his ability to serve those around him. Throughout his life, he diligently worked to provide for others, exemplifying his unwavering dedication. Wayne's affiliation with the United States Air Force allowed him to proudly serve his country, instilling in him the values of leadership and personal growth. In 1983, alongside his wife, he established Sterling Oil Company, transforming it into a thriving local enterprise that generated numerous employment opportunities for the community.
Wayne's tireless efforts to ensure the well-being of those around him were evident in every aspect of his life. He cherished moments spent with his children and grandchildren, joyfully witnessing their growth and development. Moreover, Wayne wholeheartedly embraced his roles as a devoted husband and a loving father, always prioritizing quality time with his family. He was a member of Fairview Christian Church and actively participated in the Thomas Road Baptist Church, channeling his love and devotion to serve his Lord and Savior. The name "Sterling Oil Company" was purposefully chosen to reflect their commitment to exceeding expectations and overcoming challenges. Wayne embodied this philosophy, consistently striving to go above and beyond in all his endeavors. He consistently demonstrated his dedication to his work, his family, and his faith, leading by example with integrity and respect. Wayne's life was a testament to his profound reverence for God and his unwavering belief in serving others with grace and dignity. Through his commitment to his principles, he inspired everyone around him, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts and minds.
A service celebrating his life and faith will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park with military honors by the American Legion Post 16.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
