Gregory Allen Hamilton

Gregory Allen “Pacman” Hamilton, Sr., 66, of Madison Heights, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born August 10, 1949 in Nelson County, he was the son of the late Emmett and Onie Tyler Hamilton and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eliza Hamilton; two brothers, Emmett D. Hamilton and Larry W. Hamilton and two sisters, Sharon K. Barricks and Wanda Fay Hamilton. Greg was a former employee of the Texas Inn (Downtown).

He is survived by seven children Regina Murphy (Katherine Bishop), Tina Hamilton (Ricky Bryant), Michelle Drummond (Russ), Lynn West (Steve), Gail Cartwright (Melton), Allen Hamilton (Duke Vassar) and Carie Hamilton; two step-daughters, Melissa Cash and Courtney Cash; three sisters, Kate H. Thomas (Earl), Violet H. Brumfield (Ronald), and Della Mae Burgess (Pedro); one brother, Roger Hamilton (Suzanne); eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his fiancée, Lisa Cash and his former wife, Linda Hamilton.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Tina, 123 Ridge Street, Madison Heights.

In honoring Greg’s wishes, he will be cremated.
