Erika Ella Hill

Erika Ella Hill, 84 of Lynchburg, widow of James Edward Hill, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 22, 1933 in Germany. Erika was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church and Peaks of Otter Rebekah Lodge #32. She was retired from Ericsson. Her flowers and her church were the most important things in her life. She shared her flowers everybody, especially the homebound and her church family. In addition to her husband, James, Erika was preceded in death by her daughter and son, Patricia and Michael Hill. Although she had no immediate family surviving, she did have many close neighbors and church friends whom she considered her family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Virginia Memorial Park with Rev. Kent Wise and Rev, Dr. H.O. Thomas, Jr. officiating. There will be a time of fellowship for her friends to gather from 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bedford Centra Hospice, 1621 Whitfield Dr. # C, Bedford, VA 24523.
