Elaine Virginia Marshall Martin 88, of Bedford went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
Born May 17, 1924 in Danville she was the daughter of Brizilla Blaine and Sudie Marshall of Carroll County, Virginia. She graduated in 1942 from Schoolfield High School in Danville, Virginia.
She was the wife of the late William “Pockets” Taylor Martin. Surviving Elaine are her 5 sons, and 3 daughters, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A Funeral service will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel conducted by the Rev. Wayne Green. Interment will follow in Neighbors Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. tonight.
