She was born on March 26, 1931 in Columbia, SC, daughter of the late Ray Wesley Taylor and Ruby Wingard Taylor.
Dorothy was retired from General Electric and had a green thumb which she put to good use caring for her vegetable garden as well as all the flowers that she loved so much.
Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Wilkerson.
In addition to her loving husband, Walker to whom she had been married for 68 years, she is survived by 2 daughters, Melissa Wilkerson, Donna W. Bryant and husband Bobby; granddaughter, Karla Rosser and husband Mike; a great granddaughter, Kayla Bradley.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Centra Hospice for all of the dedicated care that they provided.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating.
