Dorothy Glass Holloran

Dorothy (Dot) Glass Holloran, 66, of Lynchburg, died, Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Avante Nursing Home. Born February 14, 1944 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Booker and Clara Anne Phelps Glass.

Dot was a former employee of Tessy Plastics, and she was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by ten brothers and three sisters.

Dot is survived by two daughters, Tracy A. Glass of Lynchburg and Tammy Young of Maryland; one son, Charles Stinson of New York; one brother, Calvin Joseph Glass of Lynchburg and one sister, Pearl Elizabeth Cumbie, of Appomattox; cousins, Pat Blankenship of Spout Spring and Jean Brooks of Concord; and one sister-in-law, Freda Sowers of Lynchburg.

A funeral service will be conducted, 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel with Brother Ronnie Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, 7-8:30 p.m., Friday, August, 13, 2010 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2316 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA, 24501.
