Born May 17, 1956 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Doris C. Gaines and Ray Ajalon Mills and was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Schultz of Washington State. She was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Doris is survived by two daughters, Jessica Ray Whitehead Martin and husband Steve of Glen Allen, VA and Karla Dale Miles of Rustburg; four granddaughters, Kasey Erinn Martin, Kennedy Grace Martin, Summer Nichole Miles and Savannah Ray Miles; special friend, Patricia Bragg and loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in law.
The Rev. Mark Grooms, Pastor of Thomas Terrace will conduct a private service at Spring Hill Cemetery.
