Dennis Lee Bower

Dennis Lee Bower, 78, of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Guggenheimer Nursing Home.
Born on January 16, 1936 in Botetourt County, he was the son of the late Ralph and Maude Bower.
Dennis served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a retired truck driver for Harris Trucking Company and was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ed Bower and two sisters, Louise Brooks and Ruth Wynn.
He is survived by his children, V. Todd Bower of Denver, CO, Mark Bower of Arvada, CO, Tony Bower and wife Gail of Arvada, CO, and David Bower and wife Robin of Gladys; his grandchildren, T.J. Mercer, Missy Eckhardt, Dylan Bower, and India Bower; and his sisters, Marie Miear, Mae Webber, and Eloise Floyd all of Lynchburg.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 6 to 7:30 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Virginia Memorial Park with Rev. Will Montgomery officiating.
