Delores Davidson Scott, 48, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of Jed Logan Scott. Delores is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee and Stella Davidson and Charles and Bonnie P. Eggers.
Born September 15, 1962, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Robert Edward and Helen Eggers Davidson. Delores never met a stranger in her life. She was a giver to all and knew it was not what one got out of life but more importantly what each of us puts into it for one another. She was a gifted artist and a master seamstress. Her past times included painting with oil and water colors, drawing with colored pencils and craftworks such as cross-stitch, needle point, crochet, and knitting. Delores was also an accomplished upholsterer, renewing many family heirlooms, vehicles and airplanes. She loved all animals and especially cats and enjoyed adopting many over the years.
In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by her sister Robin D. Wilkerson and her husband Maxey of Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel conducted by the Rev. Richard W. Jett. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
