She was born on July 13, 1982 in Lynchburg.
A bright and caring soul, Dana was a true lover of animals, whether it was cats, dogs, or birds. She adored her friends, and had a special affinity for jewelry, sugar skulls, Marilyn Monroe, and Kat Von D. A talented computer whiz, Dana had an incredible ability to navigate the digital world, impressing everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dana is survived by her loving parents, Wesley C. Williams (Angie) and Della H. Burgess, her cherished Granny Frances, and her life partner, Nate Ostrander. She also leaves behind her aunt, Kate Thomas, and cousin, Larry Wayne, as well as her uncle, George “Willie” Williams, and cousins, Dylan and Crystal, also her friend, Ashley.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A Celebration of Life will take place the following day, Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., also at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with Duval “Cody” Davis officiating. Friends are welcome to come around 10:00 am. Following the service, Dana will be laid to rest at Spring Hill Cemetery.
