CoRene Angus Coleman, 88, of Forest received her full reward in Heaven, Friday, November 24, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was the loving wife to the late Cavil Clinton Coleman, Sr. Born August 22, 1935 CoRene was the daughter of the late Ira Strode Angus and Hattie Earl Campbell Angus.
Throughout her life, CoRene was dedicated to her family, her church, and its missions, the choir, and all of the children that she kept throughout her years. Until his death, she and her husband loved Sunday afternoon drives, bus trips with friends, and listening to gospel music together.
In addition to her husband and parents CoRene was preceded in death by her brother Elwood Angus and his wife Betty Angus of Bedford.
Those left to cherish CoRene’s memory include her children Denise Coleman Trivett and her husband Wayne of Salisbury, NC, Catherine White and her husband Michael of Madison Heights, Cavil Coleman, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Monroe and Cynthia Arnold and her husband Timothy of Forest; one brother-in-law, Walter Coleman of Lynchburg; her brother, James Angus and his wife Ofelia of Forest; nine grandchildren, Melissa Londry, K.J. Londry and his wife Elizabeth, Carolyn Londry and her partner Ross, Michaela White, Andrew Coleman, Ronnie Wilson and his wife Samantha, Joshua Arnold and his wife Brianna, Amanda McNutt and her husband Roberto, and Bethany Fitch and her husband Jonathan; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate CoRene’s life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Forest United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm officiated by Reverend Charlie Johnson and Reverend Sue Keen. A graveside service will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends the night prior to the service from 5:00-7:00 pm at Forest United Methodist Church.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the care and attention over the last two months, and niece Jackie Shick for her help over the past year.
