Cordell had a long working career and was retired from General Electric/Ericsson. After retirement he became the owner and operator of Maytag Laundry. Cordell loved to bowl. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his boys and he loved to go to the beach! The real joy in his life came from the love he had for his wife, his children and all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He may have raised two boys but he had seven granddaughters and every single one of them had him wrapped around their finger, whatever they wanted they got and they all loved him dearly. He babysat, carpooled, attended events and supported each and every one of them. His favorite name he was called was “Papa”
Left to cherish his memory is his brother Joseph A. Mason and wife Terry Mason; two sons David W. Mason and wife Rhonda and Stephen D. Mason and wife Karen; five grandchildren Larken Mason, Courtney Nelms and husband Daniel, Sidnie Mason and fiancée Andrew Moeller, Kalie Mason and Karsen Mason. He is also survived by two great grandchildren Cloey Mason and Ashlyn Nelms.
The family would also like to thank Gentle Shephard Hospice Team for their excellent care of Cordell during his final days.
