Clarence Aubrey Booth, 83, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, February 08, 2015, at the Medical Care Center. He was the husband of the late Emily Bloomer Booth for 29 years. Born March 26, 1931, in Campbell County, he was the son of the late George Marvin Booth and the late Kate Thompson Booth.
Clarence was a retired assembler for Babcock Wilcox Corporation, and he was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. He also served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Clarence was also a member of the American Legion Post 16.
In addition to his wife and parents, Clarence was preceded in death by two brothers, John E. Booth and Stephen Russell Booth; and two sisters, Virginia B. Coffee and Lura B. Carwile.
Clarence is survived by his children C.A. Booth, Jr. of Forest and Rhonda B. Toller and her husband John of Altavista; two siblings, George M. Booth, Jr. and his wife Jean of Concord and Gladys B. Patterson of Lynchburg; one granddaughter, Emily S. Toller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m.., Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Falwell officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the American Legion Post 16.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
