Cavil Clinton Coleman, Sr., 77, of Forest passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, at his residence. He was the husband of CoRene Angus Coleman. Born August 31, 1938, in Campbell County, he was the son of the late Linwood Evans Coleman and the late Frances Tweedy Coleman.
Clinton was a retired welder/fabricator for Buffalo Air Handling and a member of Forest United Methodist Church.
Clinton is survived by his four children, Denise Coleman Wachowicz of Salisbury, NC, Catherine White and her husband Michael of Madison Heights, Cavil Coleman, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Monroe and Cynthia Arnold and her husband Timothy of Forest; one brother, Walter Coleman of Lynchburg; brother-in-law, James Angus and his wife Ofelia of Forest; sister-in-law, Betty Angus of Bedford; nine grandchildren, Melissa Peddy and her husband Andrew, K.J. Londry and his wife Elizabeth, Carolyn Londry, Michaela White, Andrew Coleman, Ronnie Wilson and his wife Samantha, Joshua Arnold, Amanda Arnold and Bethany Arnold; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Forest United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Burleigh officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park in Forest.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
