She was born in Lynchburg on September 26, 1945, daughter of the late William T. Clark and the late Edna G. Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Clark and Margaret Pope; and a brother, William Clark.
Carolyn loved her grandchildren and all her many friends.
Left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband Wayne, is one son, David W. Riddle; one daughter, Penny L. Riddle; a brother, Guy Clark; four grandchildren, Julie Riddle, Jessica Riddle, Amber Riddle and Nathan Riddle; two special grandchildren whom she helped raise, Allen Mayberry, Jr and wife Sarah and Robert Tyree; five great grandchildren, A’Reanna, Kyndal, Jaxon, Lillian and Ava.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
