Brenda Leigh Poore

Brenda Leigh Poore, age 62 of Lynchburg, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Born on July 5, 1960, in Lynchburg, Brenda was the daughter of the late Earlton L. Hailey and the late Elsie Louise Hailey. She was preceded in death by her son Shannon Poore, her sister Linda McGuire, and step-father, Zake Mason. Brenda was a very hard worker at Glad Manufacturing for 24 years. She also loved gardening and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Dennis E. Poore; one daughter, Amanda Poore; two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Hailey (Lisa), George Hailey (Janet); brother-in-law, Phillip Poore (Jennifer); two grandchildren, Kayleigh Cumbie and Isaiah Ware; special niece and caregiver Amber Phillips. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel followed where a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023 with Pastor Alvin Triplett officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family asks memorials be made to the UVA Emily Couric Clinic Cancer Center, 1240 Lee Street, Charlottesville, VA 23908.
