Born in Binghamton, NY, October 24,1963 the son of Dr. Ronald E. Hawkins and Peggy Dickerson Hawkins of Lynchburg.
After high school, Brad joined the Navy and served his country on a battleship tender. He came to Framatome 36 years ago and thru his unique style and leadership, bonded with so many in the trenches of the nuclear power industry. Later in life he was given a gift from God, his only child Viyka. Brad always said that his greatest achievement in life was being a husband and a father. He loved all animals and was most at peace working on his farm. He was compassionate and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife Lisa Petrusha Hawkins; his daughter, Viyka Kalina Hawkins; one brother, Scott Hawkins and his wife Holly; two sisters, Kimberly Story and Cindy Butler and her husband David; his mother and father-in-law, Switlana and Michael Petrusha; his sister-in-law, Helene Zarewych and her husband Zeke; his brother-in-law, Andy Petrusha and his wife Laurie, many wonderful nieces and nephews, and his canine companions Coco and Mazie.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
