Barbara was born in Urbana, Illinois, August 10, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Warren Fincham Withers and Frances Barrick Withers Meyers. She was the retired owner and operator of Tanglewood Mobile Home Park and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and was a dedicated soul winner through various ministries she served. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Richard Hefley, Jr. and is survived by her second husband, Richard Dean Stump. She is also survived by six children, Richard D. Hefley, Paul E. Hefley and wife Anielle, Deana Hefley and her husband D. Gene Candler, Sandra H. Travis and her husband Brian, John S. Hefley and wife Joan Robinson and Joy H. Alexander and her husband Rick; two step-daughters, Christine Steppe and Lisa Stump; 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Sandra S. Williams; two sisters, Dolores W. LaRosa and Glenda Sue Farmer and one grandson, Stephen Hefley.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Thomas Road Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Tree of Life Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
