She was born on October 29, 1979 in Somerset, PA, daughter of R. Wayne and Nancy J. Shumaker.
Amanda “My Beautiful” was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and a teacher for Liberty Christian Academy. She loved her Lord and Savior first and foremost! She loved others, serving, teaching, her church, and her family, but her greatest joy of her life is her three beautiful daughters.
In addition to her parents, R. Wayne and Nancy J. Shumaker, left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Brian C. Summers “My Favorite”; her three daughters, Emily K. Summers, Caroline G. Summers and Julia C. Summers. She is also survived by a sister, Valerie Eshleman and her husband Shawn and their three children.
The family will receive friends from 3 – 6 on Sunday afternoon, July 16, 2023 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2023 in the Pate Chapel at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron Gaston officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
