Born on November 21, 1940 in Eagletown, OK, she was the daughter of the late Hal W. Williams and Mary H. Williams. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Walter Scott and two brothers, James Hopson and Warren Williams.
Prior to her retirement, Alta worked as a secretary for numerous entities to include Boeing, Bryan County District Attorney’s Office in Durant Oklahoma, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Census Bureau. She was very creative and loved creating ceramics and sewing, especially quilt making. She was quite the fashionista and loved shopping especially for shoes and jewelry. She was known for a divine Peanut Butter Pie that was out of this world. In addition to all of her many talents, she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, John Scott and his wife Sim of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Hal Scott and Kevin Scott; sister Alla Webb and special niece, Rhonda Thorsen along with many beloved nieces and nephews located in Oklahoma and Colorado.
