Alice Bragg Campbell, 68, of Evington, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. She was born on January 4, 1949, in Lynchburg, Va., to the late John Edward Bragg and the late Mamie Josephine Bragg Bryant. She was married to her lifelong, loving and devoted husband, Murrell Campbell for 50 years and now joins him to walk through Heavens Gates together for eternity.
She was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School, a graduate of Lynchburg College and retired from a successful business she owned for over 30 years, Alice B. Campbell, C.P.A. She was an active member of Jordan Baptist Church. Among her many hobbies and interests, Alice had a passion for Quilting and a talent like no other. She made each quilt for family and friends with thought, time and dedication to make sure each one represented the person for whom it was made. Alice's strength through the years to endure the battles of cancer she fought will always be remembered.
She is survived by her children, son, Christopher Campbell and wife, Laura Campbell; daughter, Ginger Renee' Campbell; her brother, Kenneth Bragg and wife, Christine Bragg; her grandchildren, Mercedes Collins, Harper Campbell, Chase Collins and Jonathan Cochran; long-time friends, Rebecca Lipscomb, Larry and Betty Bingham; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Murrell Campbell; siblings, Charles L. Bragg, Sandra Clark and Shelia Mays; and her first born grandchild, Hunter Erik Campbell.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Jordan Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at noon. A private interment will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, Patient Fund, In Memory of Alice B. Campbell, 1701 Thomson Dr., Lynchburg, VA 24501.
